Prior to training as a therapist Helen worked for a large insurance company as a development manager until taking a career break in 2001 to start her family.
Helen began Therapies at Home and Work in 2008.
Qualifications
Helen attuned to Reiki I in April 2007 practicing on family and friends initially. She continued her Reiki journey with Reiki II attunement in June 2008. Helen completed her Diplomas in Indian Head Massage in June 2008 and Reflexology in March 2009. Helen has recently completed a Diploma in Seated Acupressure (January 2010) and is about to finish her Body Massage Diploma (February 2010).
Additionally Helen holds the following qualifications:- HN Units in Anatomy and Physiology (June 2007); Diploma in Depilation (January 2007); Appointed Persons First Aid Certificate (May 2009).
Helping the community
Helen is a regular volunteer therapist at the Marie Curie Hospice in Huntershill, helping patients and carers receive relaxation with Complementary Therapies. Helen was one of a team of therapists to provide Indian Head Massage at the annual BOBATH Dragon Boat Races in June 2009 and has worked within her local community to promote positive mental health within the Nursery environment and at Pamper evenings to raise funds for the Parents Association of her childrens school.

Helen is a practitioner member of the Complementary Therapists Association and Embody with insurance provided by Holistic Insurance Services.
